  • Monday, 11/2: Election Education
    • We had another very cloudy day with an occasional speck of moisture on the face while walking. I put in my normal mileage up and down the lane with Cooper. He keeps looking for squirrels, even though they aren't around after eating up all of the pecan nuts. I'm noticing several squirrel diggings in the lawn that will result in saplings emerging next spring.
    • I pulled up an online sample ballot for our voting location and then researched various candidates and referendums to decide how to vote in tomorrow's election. There are several judges up for election and research is necessary to determine a preference. My scriblings will need to be written into legible cheat sheets.
    • We ate greens grown in our winter greens totes for the second day in a row. We ate salads yesterday and fajita bowls today that included greens and tomatoes. The kale is exceptionally tender and tastes great.
    • Mary helped me hunt down waterproof alcohol-based markers that are used to add color to lures created while tying flies. They can be expensive, but we found some on sale at the online Dick Blick art supply store.
